Welcome to the Spring 2012 Newsletter from Panchachuli U.K. As we look forward to another year, we'd also like to take this opportunity to tell you about some of the exciting developments that have taken place over the last Winter season.

Green Baby

Last year our ladies were busy hand knitting a beautiful range of 100% super soft cashmere blankets for Green Baby. We are absolutely delighted with the results which have now been added to the website at www.greenbaby.com

The two versions are in either a patchwork natural fawn and natural ivory design or plain natural ivory (image below)

Check out our Panchachuli link on the Green Baby website http://www.greenbaby.com/Luxury+Handknitted+Cashmere+blanket.htm

We will be extending the Panchachuli hand knitted baby range next season to include hats, mittens and scarves, all available in 100% Mongolian cashmere.

Carrie Parry

We are also thrilled for fashion designer Carrie Parry who has won The Green Award at Amsterdam Fashion Week in January 2012. Carrie has made an impressive mark on the fashion scene in the U.S.A. and her eco credentials are second to none.

Her Winter 2012 designs are just fabulous and feature our Panchachuli Lamb's wool fabrics in bright orange, magenta and green, alongside other carefully selected fabrics.

You can read all about Carrie at www.carrieparry.com

Ethical Fashion Forum

Mary King from Panchachuli U.K. has been selected for a Fellowship from the EFF. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with other companies and individuals over the coming year.

We took part again last October in a vibrant Global Source Expo at Sadlers Wells in London.

GOALS OF FELLOWSHIP 500

FELLOWSHIP 500 has been launched by the Ethical Fashion Forum with the aim of taking the fashion industry to tipping point- the point at which sustainable practices by fashion businesses become the rule rather than the exception to it- from field to final product.

The Fellowship will do this through:

  • Uniting 500 of the world's foremost innovators and leaders in the fashion sector every year
  • Supporting and facilitating collaboration between these leaders towards common sustainability goals
  • Inspiring innovative thinking, enabling positive change and creating an enlightened space to tackle the challenges of the fashion industry
  • Putting the spotlight on the industries leaders, globally, through the Fellowship scheme
  • Encouraging more fashion sector professionals and businesses to engage with sustainability and to become leaders in their fields, in every part of the world.
